Cami’s presence on social media is significant, creative, and represents “today’s” interpretation of world percussion + drum set applications. Her approach to coordination is modern as well. I think her clinic proposal reflects a wide variety of topics, and believe it would be stronger if she focused more on her setup choices and how these work in different musical contexts. This would be a great clinic at PASIC if there is a bit more specific focus on what

I loved the material presented and the thorough explanation of what the clinic/performance will include. She's a very talented musician. I am just not sure if this is a good fit for world. It seemed to fit the drumset category better. Perhaps if she had explained more about which African country(s) she draws her material from, it could be more relevant to the world percussionist. From the description of the clinic, it seems to cover mostly ideas that would be relevant to a drumset player from a Big Band or similar (set-up ideas, soloing, playing in a 7/8 meter, etc). I am interested from a percussionist point of view, but I am not sure it fits the world category necessarily.

While there have been different hybrid kit applicants in the past, I think Cami brings a fresh creativity that is something a lot of people can benefit from! Glad she submitted the extra videos to showcase that!

This type of world percussion hybrid playing is very popular currently and this artist is doing it at a high level in a very creative way. This will be inspiring to many PASIC attendees.

I highly recommend this to virtual PASIC or in-person. This can be under world and drum set committee. Attendees will benefit and enjoy on this programme.
