This is a very strong application and something not seen at PASIC very often. I appreciate the clarity of how the artist blends traditional and contemporary approaches to Chinese percussion music. This truly represents the best of “world” music in my opinion, even though it may appear contemporary.

I think this player is strong, but I don't think this is good for a daytime concert. I think this would be better suited for the New Music category performance.

This young artist is an incredible performer and presents a compelling perspective on combining Chinese and Western percussion traditions.

I performed with this artist at Gip Percussion Hong Kong before he study at Boston Conservatory and I can prove his dedication to his craft. His application is very strong and you may consider him both Virtual and in-person. He will present the works/music from China and Hong Kong.
