ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Adam Blackstock currently serves as Associate Professor of Percussion at Troy University; his duties include: teaching private lessons and also leads the award-winning Troy University Percussion Ensemble, winners of the 2012 and 2015 Percussive Arts Society International Percussion Ensemble Competition. In addition to numerous national appearances, Blackstock has performed internationally as a guest soloist in San Juan, Puerto Rico; Vilnius and Kaunas, Lithuania; Wroclaw, Warsaw, and Kolbuszowa, Poland; Prague, Czech Republic; Manchester, England; and most recently in Odessa, Ukraine. Blackstock has been featured as a marimba soloist at four PASICs (2008, 2010, 2011, 2017); the most recent of these being a keyboard showcase concert – Marimba and…. He serves as Chair of the PAS Keyboard Committee and a reviewer of new literature for PN; he is a former member of the PAS Percussion Ensemble Committee and former Vice-President and President of the Alabama Chapter of PAS.
