ABOUT THE CLINIC / PERFORMANCE: Joe Hobbs and the Vandegrift Drum Line: Tips and Tricks to Help Get Your Marching Ensemble to the Next Level

This session will be intended for High School/College educators looking for information regarding marching percussion pedagogy. This clinic will go over topics including class structure, arranging, exercise program, audition process and will hopefully give educators a blueprint for setting up their own marching program.

The clinic will also include an in depth look at the exercise program for both our front ensemble and battery percussion sections. We plan to go over our overall technique approach as well as give fellow instructors some tricks and tips for improving the overall sound of their ensemble.

It is our hope that this clinic will provide educators additional tools/information regarding marching percussion as well as entertain anyone in the audience with quality playing and performances by the Vandegrift High School Percussion Section.
