David Eyler

Eyler is Professor at Concordia College where he is directs the Percussion Ensemble, which presented the New Literature for Percussion Concert at PASIC 2013. They have released three CDs and also appeared at the MENC Convention. As a professional performer, Eyler is Principal Timpanist of the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony and has been Principal Percussionist of the Baton Rouge Symphony and Opera, and performed with the Columbus, Lake Charles, Rapides and Potomac Symphonies. He has served on PAS Board of Advisors for five terms and was President of the Minnesota Chapter as well as a member of the Percussion Ensemble, Education and College Pedagogy Committees. In 2006 he was awarded the Outstanding Supporter Award by PAS and was a conductor for the PASIC 50-Piece Marimba Orchestra at PASIC 2011. His compositions are published by Colla Voce, Ludwig Masters, Per-Mus, Pioneer and Row-Loff. His articles have appeared in The Instrumentalist and Percussive Notes.
